Scientists – white coats and wild hair, laboratories and formulae, knowledge and discovery, progress and solutions?
Seas Your Future makes a some of that happen with a voyage along the coast of Costa Rica in January 2021.
As Head of Science for SYF, I have introduced the position of Scientist in Residence on the tall ship Pelican of London. Our pilot voyage for this new initiative will take place in Costa Rica, and we are super-excited about the opportunity to work with six young scientists on project ranging from surveying coral biodiversity, zooplankton and marine mammals to meteorological observations and plastic pollution in sediments, water and on beaches.
