Imagine you have sailed through the night, watched a beautiful sunrise and finally the anchor has found a firm hold…you are enjoying the calm of the morning…when a buzzing sound alerts you to the presence of a drone overhead, rudely interrupting the privacy of having your breakfast on deck.
That sums up my irritation with drones…up to now!
Altogether different was my amazement at what can be achieved when drones are used for art and information.
The welcome reception of the Sail Training International conference in Bordeaux last Thursday featured a display of dancing drones, telling the story of creatures in the deep sea.
Dronisos let the drones dance over a lake in a mesmerising 10 minute long show of imagination, creativity and skill.
Thank you Sail Training International and Metropole Bordeaux for your hospitality and organisation during this excellent conference, which I attended representing the youth development organisation Pelican of London.
Challenging Habitat 
Give me dancing drones over fireworks any day. Such fabulous imagination and artistry.
